Open Wide the Doors of Your Heart to Christ The Bishop’s Annual Appeal gives us an opportunity to respond to those in need and to show Christ’s love by putting our faith in action as a Diocesan family. The Diocesan agencies and programs supported by the Appeal help with both spiritual and physical needs and go beyond what an individual parish can accomplish alone.   The purpose of the Appeal is to help support those whose needs are greatest – the poor, the sick, the elderly, troubled families, the disabled and those in crisis – all of whom are served by our Catholic Charities Agencies. The Appeal also supports priestly vocations, Catholic education and our retired priests.   Whatsoever you do for this year’s appeal, I thank you.
