“There are different kinds of spiritual gifts but the same Spirit; there are different forms of service but the same Lord;
there are different workings but the same God who produces all of them in everyone.” 1Cor. 12:4-6.
If God is calling you to religious life as a Sister, priest, or Brother, then be assured God already has put into your heart a charism that corresponds to a particular community. It is where God is calling you to holiness.
As you explore your vocation and various communities, there are three aspects of a religious congregation or order that would be helpful to consider as you read, visit, and talk with them:
How does this community pray: style, frequency, times of day? Does it resonate with me?
What is the vibe, the environment?
Do I feel ‘at home’ here to ‘be myself’?
What do they do? Do their ministries interest me? Do I see myself being able to give with my gifts as well as be challenged and nurtured to grow?
