As a Catholic medical doctor, Mary Mazzarella takes seriously her Diocesan responsibility to demonstrate that all life is sacred from natural conception to natural death. Her duties include Project Rachel Referral for post-abortion women, keeping informed about the Alternative Adult Stem Cell studies, advising the Diocese of the new Advance Directives for Health Care, and giving talks to physicians and high school and college students. She practiced pediatrics for many years, conducted clinical research, and taught religious education at St. Philip the Apostle Parish.
October 2014: The Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth presented their Caritas Award to Mary Mazzarella DeMayo, M.D, Diocesan Director for Respect Life.
